locas

The book that i am reading now is locas .it is about the neighborhood echo park and the people who live there the main characters are Lucia,Cecilia and Manny and his gang the lobos the book is told by Cecilia and Lucia's point of view Cecilia is Carlo's little sister and Lucia is Carlos girlfriend,they are both friends and Cecilia talks about how life was when she was growing up in echo park she mostly talks about how her brother climbed up to the to top and now is the boss of the lobos ,she also talks about how her life was growing up and also about her mom .Lucia talks about how she met Manny and how she loves him but also how she feels disrespected by Manny and his gang because they just think that the girls cant do anything and are just there to cook for the men she also talks about how shes gonna start a gang of only girls and show the boys that shes just as good as them.okay so both the girls change like Lucia isn't just Manny gf which everybody only knows her by and Manny would always have to support her because she wasn't really independent because she didn't have a Job and Manny would pay for everything but later in in the book when she starts the gang and starts making all this money it makes her feel more independent and she could finally be as good as the boys and not rely on Manny for anything anymore.Cecilia changes throughout the book too but i guess more emotional because she got pregnant and had a miscarriage and later on became a nun.

The good and the bad about reading this year....A.C

some books that i have read this year are speak the virgins suicides ,Angela's ashes ,a clockwork orange.the book that I liked the most was the virgin suicides the book was about a group of teenage boys living in the 70's who are obsessed with five sisters who they find very mysterious. In the end all of the 5 girls kill themselves and these boys just keep gathering clues to figure out why they might have killed themselves.i like these book because it is very entertaining and kind of sad at the same time .so far I've liked reading this year because it keeps me entertained and it helps me relax.some things i didn't like about reading this year is that sometimes i just forget to read or i just don't want to do it then its really hard to catch up because then you have to do all this assignments about the book and i haven't even finished the book so that was one of the times i found reading a book almost every night difficult in the end i did catch up but this shows me that i do have to read every night in order to keep up.
